Micronesia Roof Project 2014: Take offs and landings, Working and playing.

We made it to Ebeye! But the flight was long and grueling. With several stops and kids singing at the top of their lungs and punching the back of our chairs, we were happy to arrive at Ebeye. But we did get to see some beautiful little islands from the sky.

The very next day we got right to work!

The field service group walks the little island and is out all day.

We had to get the material up the old fashioned way, seven times in a row, each roll weighing inbetween 300 to 400 lbs.

Tai Tai and his son Wataea came to lend a hand.

As we dripped sweat and cooked in the sun, it sure was difficult to watch the local kids play in the surf with their plywood boards!

All temptation aside, we carried on with our work.

Women have to wear skirts all the time. If you don't it is considered indecent. Even when working!

The friends would not let us leave without first throwing a party....

and singing a few songs!

We might be all business....

But we still know how to goof off!

Next stop! Majuro!
